the back accent is made from recycled pallets trim'd out with poplar, painted and screwed with industrial type screws,painted a flat black then I added LED combination lighting that can be remote controlled and then wall mounted
Chen + Suchart StudioThe media cabinet and the opposite wall are clad with hot rolled steel and flank the living room in order to direct the relationship of the space between that of the kitchen, living room, and the outdoor patio. The ceiling plane which is clad with Olive wood panels also serve to reinforce the relationship between the kitchen and the living room spaces. Furnishings by poliform. Jensen DesignCozy TV room with built-in storage left and right of the TV, and a built-in fireplace with a steel surround. TV and storage are recessed into steel wall cladding of the fireplace wall.
BOWAPerhaps the focal point of the first floor is the magnificent, three-sided stone fireplace, which serves as a divider between a casual sitting area adjacent to the kitchen and the more formal living room. The weight of the stone necessitated embedding wood beams in both the floor and ceiling to transfer the loads. An additional structural modification had to be made for the existing double chimney flue. New built-in media cabinetry was custom designed and fabricated and then field modified to cover the flue.

Catherine Boswell DesignFor the TV room on the main floor, we went more masculine for the men in the family's comfort. Blending traditional 'Hunt Country' motifs of English furniture, fox hunting and equestrian accents with black lacquered walls, this space ended up both bold and cozy at the same time.
