Chester County Kitchen & BathFull kitchen remodel and new luxury vinyl tile. This homes original kitchen needed a personality and we gave it one. Echelon Cabinetry in the Bedford door style in maple wood with a nutmeg stained finish make the new kitchen warm and inviting. Getting rid of the original kitchens dry walled soffits and doing cabinetry and trims to the ceiling added storage and a more appealing look. The granite countertops and tile backsplash work together nicely with the new vinyl tile floors. Vinyl tiles can be grouted and look just like real tile with all the durability but are softer and warmer on the feet. The new vinyl floorings are really something you should definitely check them out if you are considering new flooring for a kitchen or bath remodel.
Jennifer Ryan DesignLog home kitchen remodel after a flood (frozen pipes) left the main floor of the home in ruins. New flooring was custom milled. Custom cabinets and all new appliances were needed. The navy AGA and copper vent make statement in the largest island. The tricky part with this kind of home is the exposed log walls on the inside leave nowhere for electrical and plumbing. Most everything had to be hidden behind the granite backsplash.

Designer's Edge Kitchen & BathThe remodel took traffic flow and appliance placement into consideration. The refrigerator was relocated to an area closer to the sink and out of the flow of traffic. Recessed lighting and under-cabinet lighting now flood the kitchen with warm light. The closet pantry and a half wall between the family room and kitchen were removed and a peninsular with seating area was added to provide a large work surface, storage on both sides and shelving with baskets to store homework, craft items and books. Opening this area up provided a welcoming spot for friends and family to gather when entertaining. The microwave was placed at a height that was safe and convenient for the whole family. Cabinets taken to the ceiling, large drawers, pantry roll-outs and a corner lazy susan have helped make this kitchen a pleasure to gather as a family.
Neil Kelly CompanyModern materials were chosen to fit the existing style of the home. Mahogany cabinets topped with Caesarstone countertops in Nougat and Raven were accented by 24×24-inch recycled porcelain tile with 1-inch glass penny round decos. Elsewhere in the kitchen, quality appliances were re-used. The oven was located in its original brick wall location. The microwave convection oven was located neatly under the island countertop. A tall pull out pantry was included to the left of the refrigerator. The island became the focus of the design. It provided the main food prep and cooking area, and helped direct traffic through the space, keeping guests comfortable on one side and cooks on the other. Large porcelain tiles clad the back side of the island to protect the surface from feet on stools and accent the surrounding surfaces.

Kitchen SaverThis kitchen was refaced in natural cherry wood with a caramel glaze. Cabinets with internal lighting, glass doors and shelves allow their contents to be on display. New cabinets were added, and seven rollouts were installed to dramatically increase storage. The laundry room cabinets were also updated and expanded with laminate Shaker doors, rollouts and new cabinetry.
