Wanda Ely Architect Inc.Inspired by the term 'patina' - established character of something grown beautiful over time and use, the striking feature wall of rhythmically composed cabinets has a layered texture and organic quality reminiscent of weathered barn board and reflects a sensibility that resonates with this particular client. This bold gesture links the sunken living room to the kitchen beyond, while providing generous amounts of storage to keep clutter out of sight.

Flavin ArchitectsThis remodel of a mid century gem is located in the town of Lincoln, MA a hot bed of modernist homes inspired by Gropius’ own house built nearby in the 1940’s. By the time the house was built, modernism had evolved from the Gropius era, to incorporate the rural vibe of Lincoln with spectacular exposed wooden beams and deep overhangs.
The design rejects the traditional New England house with its enclosing wall and inward posture. The low pitched roofs, open floor plan, and large windows openings connect the house to nature to make the most of its rural setting.

JRP Design & RemodelOur clients wanted the ultimate modern farmhouse custom dream home. They found property in the Santa Rosa Valley with an existing house on 3 ½ acres. They could envision a new home with a pool, a barn, and a place to raise horses. JRP and the clients went all in, sparing no expense. Thus, the old house was demolished and the couple’s dream home began to come to fruition.
The result is a simple, contemporary layout with ample light thanks to the open floor plan. When it comes to a modern farmhouse aesthetic, it’s all about neutral hues, wood accents, and furniture with clean lines. Every room is thoughtfully crafted with its own personality. Yet still reflects a bit of that farmhouse charm.
Their considerable-sized kitchen is a union of rustic warmth and industrial simplicity. The all-white shaker cabinetry and subway backsplash light up the room. All white everything complimented by warm wood flooring and matte black fixtures. The stunning custom Raw Urth reclaimed steel hood is also a star focal point in this gorgeous space. Not to mention the wet bar area with its unique open shelves above not one, but two integrated wine chillers. It’s also thoughtfully positioned next to the large pantry with a farmhouse style staple: a sliding barn door.
The master bathroom is relaxation at its finest. Monochromatic colors and a pop of pattern on the floor lend a fashionable look to this private retreat. Matte black finishes stand out against a stark white backsplash, complement charcoal veins in the marble looking countertop, and is cohesive with the entire look. The matte black shower units really add a dramatic finish to this luxurious large walk-in shower.

Home Styling by Alexis E-DesignI color coordinate every room I design. She has a yellow fireplace and the blue surf board and end table. So I turned everything into blue and yellow, with tans and woods to break up the two main colors. No money was involved in designing this space, or any space in this Huntington Beach cottage. It's all about furniture re-arrangement.

Curated NestThis living room renovation features a transitional style with a nod towards Tudor decor. The living room has to serve multiple purposes for the family, including entertaining space, family-together time, and even game-time for the kids. So beautiful case pieces were chosen to house games and toys, the TV was concealed in a custom built-in cabinet and a stylish yet durable round hammered brass coffee table was chosen to stand up to life with children. UserWith two three-seat sofas in a cozy gray fabric, we've given the clients plenty of space to comfortably spread out. To define the space and tie its color palette altogether, we chose an oversized blue and cream wool area rug in a whimsical flourished pattern.
Pamela Harvey InteriorsOur St. Pete studio gave this beautiful home a colorful, cheerful vibe by adding bold colors and patterns. In the dining room, a lovely shade of teal creates the perfect backdrop for a triptych style tortoise artwork. The kitchen is bright and airy, and the beautiful bar chairs in pretty blue patterns add a hint of style. The bedrooms are all designed to feel cozy and relaxed, with soothing textures and details that differentiate the three bedrooms as unique and distinctive.
