Otta DesignThe client brief for the space was a cocooning retreat for adults to escape to. We chose a paper backed linen wall covering to add texture and warmth and wrapped the blue paint colour on all the woodwork and over the ceiling. This helps envelop the space and creates a soothing effect allowing the jolt of colour to come from the orange wool loveseat rather than the typical plane of white on the ceiling. We were lucky to work wth the clients' extensive art collection and antique armoire. We recvered the existing footstool but everything else we sourced specifically for the project. The antique drinks cabinet was a particularly great find. The clients inherited the shutters from the previous owners and liked the privacy they offered. We felt they needed softening to work with cocooning feel of the space so designed these dress curtains on a covered lathe. There was an existing unattractive gas fire which we replaced with a brick slip chamber and gas log effect fire.
Robertson Lindsay InteriorsThis elegant drawing room was redesigned with a new fireplace and parquet floor. The cornice was picked out in a darker colour to highlight the detail. All of the furniture and curtains were made bespoke for the client.
Brittany Lyons InteriorsThis client wanted a new look for her living room space. We painted the walls a light gray (formerly a mustard color) throughout the entire space, but added an accent color of teal on a focal wall. We added a new rug, new accent chairs, a new sofa sectional, an ottoman, and a few accessories to make the space look and feel new.
