Bianchi DesignThis contemporary home featured a style reminiscent of Richard Meier. This was a renovation, as the pool prior had an artificial rock that used to belong to a penguin exhibit in a zoo. The pool was being upgraded along with the house.
We put in an iron wood tree in the pool and moved the fake rock water fall. This
converted the pool to a lautner overflow, which brings the water flush with the floor of the backyard and makes the pool into a perfect mirror to reflect the iron wood tree.
The west facing backyard was blasted by the sun, so added two additional iron wood trees to filter out the light. The white wall behind the trees hide the portal spa -- creating a secret destination. The outdoor kitchen cabana bookends the architecture space to close the space and make it feel complete --- previously the space was a gaze looking out to the tennis court.
We brought the granite slabs from the kitchen out to the pool to create the water floating feature that has 8 foot long stainless steel spillway, creating a perfect shade of glass in the reflection pool.
madDesigns kitchens, baths, interiorsThis room overlooks the beautiful backyard, but you enter from the garage on the side, so it plays multiple roles as mudroom, sunroom, breakfast area/casual dining for the family. With swivel chairs in the corner one may sit back and relax to enjoy the sun, face the action inside or out.
CMI ConstructionCMI Construction converted an existing patio space into an enclosed sunroom with cooking area. A commercial vent, gas grill, and chiseled edge granite countertops were installed along with v-groove white pine ceilings, cedar trim, stamped concrete floors and Pella windows. The pool and decking were also updated.
Archadeck Piedmont TriadThis 3-season room in High Point North Carolina features floor-to-ceiling screened openings with convertible vinyl windows. The room was custom-built atop a concrete patio floor with a roof extension that seamlessly blends with the existing roofline. The backyard also features an open-air patio, perfect for grilling and additional seating.
Stebnitz Builders, Inc.As you drive up the winding driveway to this house, tucked in the heart of the Kettle Moraine, it feels like you’re approaching a ranger station. The views are stunning and you’re completely surrounded by wilderness. The homeowners spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying their property and wanted to extend their living space outside. We constructed a new composite material deck across the front of the house and along the side, overlooking a deep valley. We used TimberTech products on the deck for its durability and low maintenance. The color choice was Antique Palm, which compliments the log siding on the house. WeatherMaster vinyl windows create a seamless transition between the indoor and outdoor living spaces. The windows effortlessly stack up, stack down or bunch in the middle to enjoy up to 75% ventilation. The materials used on this project embrace modern technologies while providing a gorgeous design and curb appeal.
