The Bazeley PartnershipThis structural glass addition to a Grade II Listed Arts and Crafts-inspired House built in the 20thC replaced an existing conservatory which had fallen into disrepair.
The replacement conservatory was designed to sit on the footprint of the previous structure, but with a significantly more contemporary composition.
Working closely with conservation officers to produce a design sympathetic to the historically significant home, we developed an innovative yet sensitive addition that used locally quarried granite, natural lead panels and a technologically advanced glazing system to allow a frameless, structurally glazed insertion which perfectly complements the existing house.
The new space is flooded with natural daylight and offers panoramic views of the gardens beyond.

EJ Interior Design, Inc.This 1920's Georgian-style home in Hillsborough was stripped down to the frame and remodeled. It features beautiful cabinetry and millwork throughout. A marriage of antiques, art and custom furniture pieces were selected to create a harmonious home.

Wright DesignThis charming European-inspired home juxtaposes old-world architecture with more contemporary details. The exterior is primarily comprised of granite stonework with limestone accents. The stair turret provides circulation throughout all three levels of the home, and custom iron windows afford expansive lake and mountain views. The interior features custom iron windows, plaster walls, reclaimed heart pine timbers, quartersawn oak floors and reclaimed oak millwork.
Orange Energy Solutions, LLCSunroom converted with new Kensington High Performance windows that are all EnergyStar rated. Insulation added into the wall cavities as well as roof cavities.
Annapolis InteriorsMy clients were having a modest sunroom installed off of their living room that connected to their deck area. It was a small space with two entrances. In order to maximize the floor space and offer versatility, I specified two swivel chairs with storage ottomans, a glass-top iron pub table with swivel barstools, and a radiant heat tile floor to keep the room cozy all year round.
Colossus Mfg.This sunroom boasts blues in all ways; through the wall color, the patterned cement tile, the cozy bean bag, and accent pillows on the day bed.
Reader & Swartz Architects, P.C.This house is firmly planted in the Shenandoah Valley, while its inspiration is tied to the owner’s British ancestry and fondness for English country houses.
The main level of the house is organized with the living room and the kitchen / dining spaces flanking a center hall and an open staircase (which is open up to the attic level). A conservatory connects an entry and mud room to the kitchen. On the attic level, a roof deck embraces expansive views of the property and the Blue Ridge Mountains to the southeast.
Interiors by LHA space that was only used as a pass through now has become a daily destination. Located in pastoral Great Falls, VA, just outside of Washington D.C., this sunroom needed to be a welcoming year round retreat for an active family of four. Inspired by resort lifestyle, the space was reconstructed using the same footprint as before, adding floor to ceiling windows. Air conditioning and underlayment heat under new wood-look porcelain tile were added to ensure the room could be enjoyed no matter what season. Sunbrella fabrics were used on the settee and chairs that will stand up to wet bathing suits and barbeques.
