Nestled between individual bottle racks is a high reveal display row. High reveal display rows tilt wines to a 15-degree angle to effectively put them and their labels on display. Pitching the bottles at an angle also keeps the cork moist, preventing it from shrinking. When the cork decreases in volume, it will allow air to mix with the wine, resulting in wine oxidation. The individual bottle racks can accommodate many, many bottles, in a secure fashion, while the high reveal display row focuses on showcasing particularly valuable/unique/rare wines. High reveal display racks also break up walls of individual bottle racking nicely, increasing the overall aesthetics. They store the bottles at an angle to prevent the cork from drying out. Dried corks will allow an unwanted amount of air to get into the bottle and cause wine oxidation. An oxidized wine is undrinkable. Påtænker du at bygge din egen vinkælder, er det en god idé at starte med at undersøge de rette forhold for din yndlingsvin. Den optimale opbevaringstemperatur er noget af det vigtigste, men tænk også over belysning, vibrationer, og lugte - alt som noget, der kan påvirke vinen i dit vinrum.

Hvornår har jeg brug for en vinkælder?

Dem kan du få i alverdens design, farver, og materialer, så de passer den design og atmosfære du går efter. Du kan også overveje et vinkøleskab, hvis du foretrækker din vin afkølet, eller hvis du ikke kan holde temperaturen i rummet på det mest optimale. Hvis du har plads i vinkælderen, kan du også overveje en tom vintønde, der kan fungere som et bord. Hvordan opbevarer jeg ellers vin?
