Blue Mountains Passive House Bushfire Flamezone

A tricky block in a bushfire flame zone – results in an art gallery-style with Passivhaus features This home in the Blue Mountains is built on an old sandstone quarry and has been designed to look like a New York art gallery. Minimalistic with no architraves or cornices. Its adaptable design is accessible for everyone as there are no steps. It’s extremely energy efficient as it incorporates passive design principles. It was a tricky block as it backs onto a railway line, is in a bushfire flame zone, has a slope and is in an environmental E2 zone.
