n prospettiva appare come una struttura monolitica forte e decisa, che da vicino rivela l’ardito assemblaggio degli elementi costruttivi. Incastri perfetti che giocano attorno al perimetro aggiungendo a getto ripiani laterali, la testiera, le ali abbozzate dei comodini. Una composizione in divenire che attende di essere decisa. Interamente realizzato in massello di faggio, il letto SHIMA ha un duplice trattamento: all’acqua o con cere d’api amalgamate a pigmenti a base di terre che valorizzano le venature del legno dando alla superficie un aspetto levigato.
In perspective it appears as a monolithic structure, strong and firm. Close up however, it reveals the bold assemblage of the constructive elements. Perfect joints that go around the perimeter of the bed adding a lateral shelves, a bedhead, the outlined wings of the bedside tables. A becoming composition waiting to be confirmed. Entirely made with solid beech wood, the SHIMA bed has a double feature: with water or beeswax mixed with earth pigments that emphasise the grain of the wood, and give the surface a smooth aspect.
