Meadows

Careful thought was given to the materials in this project. Every garden has a context and needs to be linked to its surroundings. The type of materials used are key to this connection. Wartling is close to the sea and this gravel drive provided yet another habitat for native plants to spread into in a controlled manner. I love moonstone as true to its name it really does reflect the moons light at night and light up. In the background is Pevensey Marsh. To ensure that this amazing view was visible from the entrance of the property, from the french windows of the lounge and from the deck we created a sleeper ha-ha and seeded wildflower meadow mix between the sleepers and the edge thus providing a seasonal frame to the view.
