Mediterranean and Spanish Style Kitchen Remodel
To create the large painted navy island, we chose to do an L-shape so the counter would not be so big that one could not reach the center. One arm of the ‘L’ has the sink, dishwasher, and pullout trash bin and is backed by storage cabinets with rollout trays. The other arm of the ‘L’ has more storage cabinets with rollout trays and the seating overhang on a decorative post. The seating area fits 4 comfortably but is not too big for a cozy dinner for two. The ‘L’ shape is perfect for the traffic flow through the new extra-large sliding glass doors. Multiple interior storage solutions keep this kitchen well-organized and easy to access.
