'The Lakehouse' Holiday Home

I was delighted to be involved in 'The Lakehouse' project from the very early stages of build - designing off plan and then liaising with the developer right through to completion. Both I and my clients are thrilled with the result - set within a managed nature reserve onlooking a lake (and in the near future to be accessed via boat with it's very own boathouse!) we incorporated lots of natural accents such as modern takes on bird, grasses and plant patterns on fabrics along with modern coastal accents as the Jurassic coast is just a few minutes drive away. The property is a eco-build, set within the conservation area so sustainable and ethical products were chosen throughout - from reclaimed wood tables to blankets made from recycled plastic bottles. The space is wonderfully light and airy yet practical with the use of child and pet friendly materials. Each room has been inspired by the framed photos taken by the owner himself - the result, a truly personal family's perfect escape!
