Traditional Kitchen with a Bit of Belize
To create sightlines and open space for entertaining, the wall between our clients’ kitchen and dining room was demolished, the central staircase was opened, and a patio door to the back deck was added. Our clients’ paintings from Belize, the husband’s homeland, inspired this beautiful space. Grey painted walls, Brazilian cherry floors and white cabinetry with granite and quartzite countertops all provide a neutral backdrop for the vibrant colors of the paintings. Tropical blues in the paintings are echoed in the accents: blue island cabinetry, glass tile backsplashes, art glass pendant lights, and handmade glass cabinet hardware.
