The old world kitchen photographed here needed a punch of color and a new kitchen island. The homeowner had designed the kitchen with space for a portable work island, but had opted for a mass-produced one in her original purchase. In three short years the veneer was peeling and the island was not living up to the appearance of the solid wood cabinetry surrounding it.
She decided to replace the island with solid wood quality in a soft pale aqua. Previous island height had been an issue, so she custom ordered her new kitchen island in a forty-two inch height.
The new kitchen island maintained its original dramatic personality while paired with customer color choice and size. Customization offered the homeowner just the right piece to give her personal space a fresh take on classic European-inspired design.
