Is a ductless heat pump a good idea for a small 1937 house?

We are doing a massive update to our family homestead in Washington state. The old oil furnace will be removed and our local power company has excellent rebates for residents who install dustless heating systems. The house is one story and 1,000 SF. We wonder if this type of heating/cooling system would be a good route to go with our house.

These photos show the exterior, existing oil furnace, the current state of the kitchen, and some of the knob & tube wiring (which will be replaced.). We are completing the demo work now and the contractor begins work very soon!

You will have the units mounted on the walls and they are not the prettiest things on the planet but they are very efficient. The other system that you might be able to do would be a heat pump and in floor heating if you can get at the floor joists.

We are installing Mitsubishi hyperheat ductless HVAC and they work so well we decided to use one for our office. This allowed us to remove an old heater and reclaim the closet space.
