      Hmm. IMO the kitchen looks great, and laminate counters are easy to maintain and easier on dishes too. I've had mine about 30 years and they're in good shape still.

      "easy to maintain and easier on dishes". Easier than what? You need to try different materials, you would be amazed at what's come on the market in the last 30 years.
