    Hi- this was a prefinished wide plank walnut floor. It was also engineered- with 5/32" solid wood on top. The prefinishing helped with the timetable and the engineered was more forgiving over the century old structure. It is a matte finish. Walnut is a 'soft' hardwood- and the Client knew that when we were looking at options. They didn't mind the wear over time- they thought it added character. It is beautiful - but we do let people know that high heels etc can leave dents. Thanks for the questions and the compliment!
