I live in Richmond VA and I have searched all over for sliding barn doors for my kitchen pantry. Did you order these online? If so, do you mind sharing which website?

      Hi Jennifer,
      Any door can become a sliding barn door. It's a matter of installation technique. See in the picture that hardware above the doors? That's what makes them slide instead of hinges which would make them swing.

      The doors you see were probably custom made. Some people use antique doors. Others distress new doors to appear old.

      You can also do it with just one door. Look online for barn door hardware. I worked on a cool house where the builder bought actual barn door hardware from a farm store.

      For the doors themselves, take a look at nicksbuilding.com and click on their interior doors. There are a couple in the knotty alder that are similar to these. We've purchased from them several times and they will ship the doors unfinished if you'd like or stained and ready to go.
