We would recommend using quartz worksurfaces as these are much more hardwearing and stain resistant and you get a much broader choice of finishes and colours. As quartz is manmade you can easily match tiles and splashbacks and you can also have matching quartz splashbacks as an option. Some quartz surfaces also include a built in anti-bacterial protection. We know Silestone have developed a formula for this.

Quartz has such a wide range of colours, styles and finishes so suits contemporary or traditional kitchen and guarantees a fantastic visual impact. Quartz engineered stone surfaces are hardwearing and durable so a great choice from a practical point of view as many are heat, scratch and stain resistant.

...forgot to mention every year we are coming out with new design and pattern,....increadible wonders of technology, I bet in few years we would be able to bring any slab of real marble/granite and they will be able to reproduce it! ...... they might doing it already!

Never use marble in your kitchen worktop, it is SO porous that it will damage very quickly. Quartz is my favourite, it is very durable and stain resistant so is a practical worktop. Also because it is a reconstituted material the sample you see in the shop is what you will get whereas granite is a bit of a gamble as it is a natural material cut straight from the rock.
