What size tile should you suggest using if you want to add diamonds?

I have a very average size bath and I want to add diamonds but I do not want to be overwhelmed by them. I love the look in this photo. What size marble tile would you suggest using with the diamond 2 x 2?

The size of this tile is 24X24. The Diamond inserts shown in the picture are 3X3. I would say that in a normal sized bathroom a 12x12 tile would be best and the inserts should stay at 2 inches to not overwhelm the tile they surround. I hope this helps to answer your question.
