exterior color help?!!?
Hi there
We are adding a second story to an existing ranch home that has brown sandstone exterior (not really a facade, or we'd take it off...). I need help choosing a modern color scheme of siding and roof to go with a beige/ brown sandstone. I really like dark grey or blue and white, but I can't seem to find one that matches.... help! first picture is an upclose of the color of the stone, second is the original house....

The brick work should wotk in contrast with all natural colours as it is an earthen piece of nature. I would then aďd accents of colour e.g. white window frames as they always look fresh or match the window frames with the roof which could be a dark charcoal colour. You could also use this colour for your front & garage doors. You want the house 2 blend into its environment. Stone is a good here to start with & it can be used again in the garden.

I think blue's have wider appeal at re-sale than green. And a bit more sophistication.
Here's some blue houses from Pinterest:
