This is the first lid storage solution I've found that would suit our needs. My husband is a carpenter with experience in custom cabinetry but we have a house rule: I have to produce some sort of plans/sketches/shop drawings for any at home handyman projects!
No sketches or drawings, sorry--I did it by mocking it up in my shop. But I used 1/4" diameter stainless steel rods set into holes in the ~3/4" x 1-1/4" end pieces about 1-1/2" apart. So the rods can be set at 1-1/2", 3", 4-1/2", etc apart. Try different spacings for your various lids and see what works.
Mine are 2-3/4" off the surface. We've got pots with higher lids now though, which can still fit but if I redid it I'd probably experiment with the rod spacing at 1-3/4" or 2". See what works!
