overdyed rugs

Is there anywhere else to get an authentic overdyed rug besides ABC carpet?

    Esale rugs.com sells what they call "ultra-vintage" hand-knotted Persians that have been cleaned, overdyed, and shaved down. I've bought a couple of rugs from esale and have been very pleased with their service and with the cleanliness and quality of their wool Orientals. There are also a couple of vendors on eBay that sell overdyed Persians, but I'd recommend extreme caution. I once ordered a textile from one of those vendors and it arrived stinking of cat urine. When I complained, they basically implied that I was some dope who didn't understand that vintage products will have flaws. I was so, uh...pissed. Anyway, we worked it out, but I would never buy another used product without some assurance that it had been cleaned.

      hmmm, you bring up a big dilemma there. i know many companies with overdyed rugs, but what makes them authentic? and i can not possibly see how anything from abc?

      You can go to eBay or etsy and get vintage overdyed rugs straight from the source, turkey.

      thanks lizzie don't know why just got your comment, but it is nice to have a good review on esale, i like their prices and recommend many of their rugs, though i am sure i am too cheap to get the antiques.
