It is a solid maple floor- nothing fancy or unusual about the maple except that we used a grade that had variation and was not just consistently colored. We chose the wood from what was available from the installer. We pickled/bleached the wood using a proprietary formula that the wood floor installer created for this application. Then we finished it with several layers of polyurethane: I think it was 3 matte coats followed by 1 glossy coat. If you are working with a decent flooring installer and showed them this image they should be able to recreate it pretty easily.
