What do u call the lighting behind the wall? How is this done?

Would like to know what type of lights are used and us it a strip? Or a box?

    The glow from behind the wall comes from
    fluorescent fixtures mounted in a box, but you could achieve the same effect
    with rope lights or LED strips.
