I finally found a fabric I absolutely love...

But, it is 100% polyester. What are the drawbacks for this type of fabric on a sofa?

    Polyester tends to stand up well to sun exposure and daily use. It remains colorfast and releases water-based stains. It tends to hold its shape better than cotton, because the fibers have give and resilience; this helps to prevent the saggy look some sofas get as they age. It is vulnerable to excess heat or burns. Avoid removing cushion covers and putting them through the drier, and avoid allowing heat sources such as curling irons or lit cigarettes from coming in contact with the sofa.
