The material is from Cambria and well know counter top manufacture. This particular material is call Whitehall and it's made with quartz material and is a man-made material. Since it is quartz it's a non-porous material so it will not stain, but say if you do spill (for example) wine onto the counter top, it may leave behind some discoloration but it can be easily removed with a sponge and soap water. Hope this helps!
