Quarter Round Molding

We just installed a floating floor in our kitchen and there is a small gap between the floor and kick plate. We were debating on using quarter round molding, but the information I read discouraged it. This kitchen is beautiful and definitely more high end than mine. Do you usually use quarter round under cabinets and are there situations where you wouldn't recommend it? Thank you.

    Thank you for the kind complement on our kitchen. I'm sure your kitchen is looks great. We continue to use laminate floating floors in many of our homes. It is a great product and looks fantastic in many applications. In answer to your question I would trim out with the shoe molding to present a finished look. I would caution you not to let the nail go through to laminate flooring or otherwise bind the laminate. Enjoy your new kitchen floor!
