Thinking about putting it on my existing fireplace surround. Wondering how it installed and performs with the heat....any issues? I was told to get the thicker version due to heat. Thx!
Laminum is an awesome product but I would highly recommend hiring a qualified installer to do your install. Crossville has a list of vendors who have gone through the Installer Qualification Program. No issues with heat with proper coverage.
Our subcontractor on this project used a tool (MLT Lippage tuning system) that allowed him to pull the pieces flush together at the small grout joints. And Crossville cut most of the tiles to size and shipped them to site that way. Again, highly technical install to get it done right (And its worth paying someone to do it right considering the cost of the product).
