Should the angle of flooring be the same between rooms?

I currently have 45 degree angled 18" ceramic tile throughout the main portion of my open floor plan home here in Orlando FL. I am considering putting down wood flooring in the bedrooms. Should the wood planks continue on the same angle/direction of the existing tile? or does it really matter? Also - any thoughts to using the same wood flooring in on-suite bathroom space? Thanks!

No, the wood floors should be parallel to whichever wall is appropriate.

I agree with Lindsey. Consider the following: Depending if the wood flooring is a nail-down, full glue or floating hardwood, 45° installations require approx. 15-25% waste factor.
