Studio Apartment Space Saving
I'm moving into a studio apartment soon, and I've never lived in a space this small before. The basic dimensions of the space are about 20' x 13', and I'd like to figure out some efficient ways to save space while still maintaining the comfort and aesthetic that my previous (and larger) living situations allowed me. Does anyone have any good ideas for separation between different living spaces (such as between the living room/bedroom) or any good furniture suggestions? Thanks in advance!

5 år sidenI’m not sure I would separate the rooms. It is so small that I would definitely look for a loveseat and look for items that can do double duty. An ottoman with storage perhaps. Use vertical space as much as possible. Do you have any pictures or a layout?

5 år sidenSome great small apartment ideas:
- IKEA has a terrific gateleg table that can tuck out of the way and take up almost no room, and be opened up partially or fully for dining.
- you might like a lift top coffee table, which can serve as a makeshift dining table or laptop/desk/workspace.
- if I were you, I wouldn’t try to fully separate spaces, but rather maybe use a cube shelf (perhaps horizontal?) to provide a little visual separation while also providing practical storage.
- in general, definitely think vertically. A hanging coat rack, a hanging pot rack, etc.Molly
