advice on ottoman and it’s colour

Hi guys just got an ottoman to complement The space . It is not the same colour and texture but very similar as you can see . Have posted pics before and after the ottoman . Please advise what do you think . Also important I will be putting some colourful wall art on the opposite wall

I would not try to match the ottoman with the couches. It's too flat and boring. If you're going to put a bench in that space, then I would get a dark brown leather one.

I don't think it looks bad. But maybe one that is a color that you could tie in with pillows on the couch.

Not a fan. I understand you are trying to do a symphony of neutrals,but that piece needs to either match or contrast more.

In person, it might be different. A lot of rooms don't photograph well. You have interesting tables, and will have art. You placed a throw on it... metallic threads in it for fun?

Notsure11 have you tried placing the ottoman opposite the slipper lounge chairs? Also is this a place to watch tv? You have contrast of light and dark. I would also add some pillows with color

Unless you're using the two matching chairs to watch TV across the room, then send back the ottoman, put the chairs there, and the black chair where the two chairs were. With the ottoman refund, get a couple of very large paintings or bold black and white photos oversized for over your sofa---sorry, can't resist:

I love this minimalist room. The ottoman is one more piece of low flat furniture that doesn't seem to have a purpose. I say send it back and leave that area blank. Pull the rug under the sofa just a bit.

Then fill your walls with art. That is all this room needs.

Thanks for the input but ottoman returned :) I hope you all are happy Neo including me I had the ottoman there for myself to sit when friends come over but I guess the long one in a similar colour scheme looked drab ! Yes need to look into artwork now
