kitchen and pantry painting predicament

what colour(s) should I paint my kitchen, and pantry? the dining table will be moved, the rest of my house is earthy tones; pale green, brown, creamy white (the kitchen here) and blue in the bathroom.
my themes go with Tuscan, wine, and bohemian.

Three posts may be the problem. People tend not to respond once more than one post on the same dilemma goes up. Bohemian might work but Tuscan and wine themes and baker's racks are quite dated, IMO. If people start replying, don't be surprised by advice to de-clutter and clear off the top of the cabinets and remove the curtains. Clean and clear is more in style today. Looks like you need more storage. Once the table is gone, your kitchen may open up to better possibilities for storing things away from view. Is the laminate cabinet with the wood trim what you're calling the pantry?

LOL, well I'm online but of no use....that's a hard question! Are you asking what color to paint the kitchen cabinets and the tall white cabinet (which I am guessing is the pantry?). Or do you mean the walls?

I would think the current cabinet wood tone would go very well with earthy colors, and natural materials (wood) seems more bohemian than paint. So I'm sorry, I don't have any ideas.

I just added all the grapes and vines, I like them and the Tuscan look. Bohemian is my living room. I am wanting to paint the walls, possibly cabinets if I dont like them still, the tall white thing is the pantry, I might even just throw that into storage lol. if not to repaint, what about like a wallpaper strip of vines? I'm never looking to sell this home, so it's more about what can I do to spruce up my Tuscan/winery style rather than what would the market want, if that makes any sense, the cc is very welcome.

Like for all of us, a little decluttering would be helpful and the shelf above the table seems high and lost on that wall. If the bakers rack is necessary, can it be moved closer to the table - it is blocking great natural light. Think about a removable wallpaper for the pantry and then picking up one of the colors for the rest of the room (see below example - you can pick up the blue/green). It is a more modern Tuscan feeling. Above your table, I suggest artwork - even a framed map of Tuscany. Personally I like art in the kitchen divided into three individual pictures.

my table will be moved into another room and that shelf will be removed. love the idea of wallpapering the pantry, the bakers cabinet thing is my husbands that he won't part with, I may place it where the table is and tidy it up. our hallway closet will be turned into another pantry so we will have more room soon to put all the appliances and such away.

I'd try to work with the cabinets, which are very nice and will not perform nearly as well once painted. I'd try something lighter than the red drapes, though.

Still no idea what you want to paint here -- the kind of cabinetry that you are calling a pantry is melamine, which is extremely hard to paint, although you could probably paint the strip of wood to make it disappear.

Also looks like you could use more lighting!

the lighting is deffinatley going to be changed in the long run, I want to pain the walls, they're one coat of smoke stain cream over top drywall with missing marks visible. I'm fine with changing the drapes, maybe tans, and sandy shades for the walls and drapes? like contrasting shades.

What are the cabs made of? Are they foiled, melamine, or wood door frames either solid or veneered? The answer makes a difference when it comes to painting.

What view are the red drapes hiding? I personally find them dark, and maybe they are cutting down the light in your room? As I am a real plant person (not a silk plant), I’d like to see a plant there if it is very sunny, a calamondin tree might even lend a bit of a warmer climate vibe, not sure how they do in kitchens but I’ve had potted citrus last for over 20 years. Perhaps, instead of the red sheers you could get frosted film to block the view, it’s cleaner and less fussy, or a simple shade. I don’t know a lot about Tuscany in particular but when I think of it I think of warm (deeply and naturally pigmented) colours like ochre contrasted with warm blues, and maybe rusty reds, along with the hand worked plaster you’d find in old buildings. If you like red, maybe a red rug on the floor?

this is the kitchen one end to the other, it's very messy at the moment, dining table will be moved out, large white cabinet is what I refer to as pantry will be wallpapered probably. rug will be removed with table. shelf on wall will be removed. maybe a sandy or mustard colour, remove the drapes and maybe an avocado rustic trim? the bakers shelf will be moved and reorganized, unsure what to put in that empty spot.... garbage bin?

I wonder if brown will be a good idea? Your kitchen already looks very dark, personally, I’d go with an ochre colour or a bright green. There also seems to be a disconnect between the counter colour and the floor.
