The Producer TV Stand is made with high quality MDF. We cannot use solid wood for this application because solid wood expands and contracts with temperature change. in order to maintain the sleek, straight lines and edges, we have to use a very high quality MDF. The finish is a natural ebony wood veneer. So you get a superior quality piece with the a natural wood exterior. The handle on the glass can easily be removed.
