    So the the white glass slide over the black (assuming glass as well?) when not in use?

    Yes the whole top is glass, extended or not extended. When not extended the top is all white glass. When extended, the center extension is black glass.

    Yes, that is correct. When the table is not fully extended, you will only see the white glass pieces as shown in the photo below. You can click on the photo to enlarge it. I hope this helps to clarify!
