    Good morning Marie! It is not enclosed with glass, it’s open and adds storage space, perfect for use with or without storage baskets, or it can be used as a display place for collectibles. The Onyx Element Aluma Frame base system along the bottom of the island and next to the basin for potted herbs gives this kitchen the industrial texture tying it into the design.


    It is not wired for heat, but you could put a heating lamp inside to warm food, and unfortunately, we do not sell that.
