Mexican bird of paradise in pots

I am in the process of potting four Mexican bird of paradise. Does anyone know the growth rate in a pot versus in the ground? I am planning to use them as a screen in front of my pool equipment.

    I have no working knowledge of that plant in a pot but there are many factors to consider. Pot size being the most important. Plants typically become dwarfed or just don't grow much in pots. I have small trees / shrubs in pots that haven't changed much in years.
