Wall Paint Color for a Room w/ A Lot of Oak

CL
3 år siden

Hi Houzz community, seeking suggestions on wall/ceiling color for my dining room w/ a lot of oak (see pic). It currently look really dated, i personally would prefer a more refreshing feel, at least make it a bit more transitional/contemporary...

...

The dining room is facing north and east, so the light is about average.

The floor currently is carpet but will be natural red oak to match the rest of the house...

I'm leaning towards a gray color but there are too many shades!

Thank you!

As a certified color expert, I routinely recommend Collingwood or Hazy Skies to neutralize the orangey-oak running throughout. Grays do not fare well and would only enhance the orange tones throughout.

Thank you! If grays don't do well should i consider other colors?

The two I suggested are fail-proof.
