The machines are a standard 600mm wide so give or take a little from that depending on the size that’s available. Depth of a base appliance is around 600 mm too but more for pipework behind but you can always pull it to line up at the front if the depth is less. Aim for 600mm wide and no more than 600mm deep.

id guess they’re 570x570 but you could go a bit taller if bespoke or if off the shelf do you have the internal measurements of the cupboard?

Your height should be considered too - so if there’s two adults in the home the smaller person should be able to see into the appliance dispenser drawer. Widths are often achieved by taking a std 600 base cabinet and adding a support panel to left and right these are often 18-20mm thick each, so gives you some wiggle room for the appliances. Adding an anti vibration mat under each appliance is a good idea aswell.

Nb if you want full door coverage like in the inspiration pic the door will be wider than standard - however -most freestanding appliances don’t recommend use behind a door - it the door needs to be open so the appliance doesn’t overheat.

this looks really stylish but practically it will be very difficult. My aunt has stacked washer dryer. Getting them repaired over the years has been really challenging.

While this layout looks good, unless you have problems bending, I’d be tempted to have the machines on the floor.

The strength of plinth to support a modern washing machine would be substantial and even quality machines like the Miele shown do vibrate which over the years would place strain on the cabinetry.

In other words, you’d have to pay quite a bit to end up with that set up in a way that would last.

The machines should be stacked vertically on the floor , more secure and helps with servicing .Free standing machines should not be enclosed behind doors ; this will invalidate their guarantee . A planning depth of 650 to 700 mm should be allowed , a planning width 650mm would allow suitable tolerance and check that you can access all the front controls and they are free to open. Only integrated appliances are designed for use behind doors .
