We assess costs of construction and renovations in terms of price per square foot. The kitchen in the Blackwood House includes all custom millwork, cabinetry, and countertops. In the current market - with the recent exceptional increases in the costs of lumber - we are seeing costs for completion of spaces of this quality starting around $325 per square foot. It is difficult to estimate more closely what the cost of cabinetry and countertops would be as it will vary depending on the size, material, hardware, and level of customization/finishes.
