question about the wooden shelf attach to the stones

Hi,
I love your design. Great job.
Was it difficult to find a flat area to attach the wooden shelf to the culture stones?
I would like to do this but not sure how to go about it. I also have the same culture stones.

    Hi Susan,


    Thanks for your question. In this scenario we blocked out for the mantel and then stoned around it, rather than trying to secure the mantel to existing stone work. If your stone is already installed, it will probably require modifying it to get a mantel to sit flush against it.
