What to put above my stairs

I'm having a hard time deciding what to put above my stairs.
I don't like things over crowded!

Do you have any hobbies, interests, or artwork in other areas of the home you could carry through to this area? What is your "style"? Looks like a large space with no area carpets also - could a tapestry help with absorbing some sound?

Wallpaper the stair wall. Choose the color scheme to work with the floor and railings.

Consider painting the doors black.
