Tile layout on edge of bathtub

I'm trying to figure out how to tile on the edges of a bathtub (Forgive the demolition pictures). I'm using 12x24 tile. On the non-door side I figure just to tile up to the edge of the wall, but on the door side I'm not sure what to do. Should I tile up to the curve point of the bathtub and then get large door trim to butt up against, or should I use normal door trim and have a sliver of wall in betwee, or have a sliver of tile going down to the floor

You can run bullnose tile down on the side of the tup and the edge of that wall (just make sure the corner is straight or you can use the tile edge trim that comes in many styles and colors.

IMO a new tub is the first step that looks like an old 50s shallow tub why not get a proper tub with tile edge and IMO bullnose tiles are a dated look and only belong in very traditional spaces so maybe some clue as to your style . I like asimple stainless schluter trim is is almost invisible and works in almost every style bathroom.
