My husband is taking down this front sunroom and creating a new one we are trying to be creative, BUT COST EFFECTIVE. The floor in the sunroom is brick, any suggestions on what might look appealing, we like simple lines, and we will be adding a tin roof.
The metal roof will add appeal. You could build with sliding glass doors and more ornate framing, but keep the period of the archetecture in mind... I spy an adorable cupola back there!
Judys pictures are nice to use as inspiration, and once you're done you'll have a gorgeous home. Love the red door and that beautiful old rock wall. Good luck with the project.
I would do one of two things if it was my home. 1. move the room to the left side and reinvent the front to compliment the addition to right. or 2 open beam concept continue the second floor roof line down to the new sun room wall height. THIS idea of design will not be effected by the second floor windows (like the existing design is) Basically a glass curtain wall in front aprox 12' high then slop roof to existing.
He wants to do windows with frames?? all around, with doors on either side, or one door in the front view middle, how big do you think the windows should be? I like the idea of one on the side and one in the middle for aesthetics and access
