    Hi Jeff, Sorry for the delayed response. Neolith is a made of granite minerals (Quartz & Felspar) Silica &Glass, Porcelian and Oxidies. This makes it an ultra compact surface which allows the the product to be UV resistant, scratch resistant, and heat resistant up to 1000 degrees. No sealer ever required like granite or treatment need like for soapstone. You can contact us for more information. Thank you
