    If you are asking this question in such a general way, it is clear you aren't prepared to spray paint furniture and achieve a quality finish. Finishing furniture is more than just buying a sprayer from a big box store and having at it. Equipment is important (conventional suction cup sprayer, gravity feed, HVLP, LVLP, compressor, air dryer, air filters). Product is as important as the equipment ( sealer, primer, oil, water based, shellac, varnish, lacquer, conversion varnish, etc.) In addition prep is as important as equipment and product and depends on the product being used. But most of all, knowledge and technique.

    Before going out and buying the wrong equipment, read, read, read, and learn. Then practice, practice, practice.
