Old Hampshire Designs, Inc. is an award-winning design/build company located in New London, NH. We've earned our reputation by building quality homes in the Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee region since 1984. We are committed to distinctive craftsmanship and excellent customer service, and are a leader in green building practices and energy-efficient design. We want you to not only love your new home, but also have an enjoyable experience throughout the entire design and construction process. During the design phase we work with you to create your customized plans. We then acquire the permits and construct the home. This collaborative results in a seamless transition from initial concept to completion. If you’re already working with your own architect or designer, we also enjoy working exclusively as a General Contractor. We are available for renovation consultations and commercial construction. Our skill set and expertise results in projects that successfully stay within the budget and time frame that you choose. Starting with the design, through the construction process, then final move-in and support after the process, we have observed the highest client satisfaction imaginable. It has been a pleasure working with Jay Tucker, his project manager, Bill Andrews and all of the subs that applied their craft in building our carriage house. The management of the process, from planning to the quality of the craftsmanship was beyond expectation. We start our next project, complete renovation of our house, begins soon. Yes, I have contracted with Jay and Old Hampshire Design. I have tremendous faith that he will transform our house into the home that we will spend the rest of our lives in.

Old Hampshire Designs built our custom designed home following the architect's plans. OHD pays close attention to details, giving great concern to the finished product and has an excellent team of craftsmen. Their service and caring for the finished product lasts long after the home has been completed.

I cannot recommend OHD highly enough. This was a home building project of over $1.5 million. From initial design to finished details this company was a true partner always concerned to meet our requests.They are professionals of the highest quality. They were always willing to listen, but not hesitant to state a professional opinion, even if it differed from what we (thought) we wanted. They have continued to be available for questions and follow up on any aspect related to the project... truely a lasting relationship.

We have been working with Old Hampshire Designs for about 4 years now. They completely renovated our lakeside cabin. The work was meticulous and their subs (painter, plumber, electrician etc.) all worked seamlessly. Much of the work was design build. Since then, they have completed several jobs for us at another house including a room renovation over a garage with heating and ac, replacing a well and many small projects that have come up. Since these are our vacation homes, we rely on honest, hardworking contractors to complete work we can not be there to oversee. They are very responsive, complete the work in a timely manner at a reasonable rate. We have been very happy with Old Hampshire Designs

I chose Old Hampshire Designs Inc as our builder after contacting several other builders for our unique, Chris Williams designed vacation home. From our first contact Jay Tucker and Bill Andrews were as excited over our plans as I was. As a home builder in the Washington DC area, I instantly recognized their expertise as well as their confidence and honesty. Our beautiful home was built on time and on budget. Their solutions to building issues and suggested value engineering as well as enhancements were invaluable.

We hired Old Hampshire Designs to build our timber frame home. They were recommended by our architect, and once we had met with them and seen other homes they had built, we knew they were the best choice. The quality of the work was extraordinary, down to the last sub-contractor. The people who worked on the house were all easy to get along with, and they clearly all enjoyed their job. Communication was excellent, the house was finished within our time frame, the detailed estimates we received were accurate. I would not hesitate to use this company again and have recommended them to others.

I have had the distinct pleasure of knowing the Old Hampshire Designs team both personally and professionally for over 25 years. They designed and built my traditionally-framed home as well as my detached Timberpeg garage. Additionally, I’ve worked with Old Hampshire Designs extensively as one of the founding members of the Baker Hill Golf Club in Newbury, NH which showcases a post and beam Pro Shop and half-way house built by Old Hampshire Designs. I cannot speak highly enough of the entire Old Hampshire Designs team. Their products are designed with exquisite attention to detail, built for generations to come, and the all-important customer service is unrivaled. Old Hampshire Designs is a six star company in a five star world.
