    Hi Kim, that is a 5" rift and quartered white oak that we made custom for one of our customers. The pattern that its laid in is called herringbone.

    Kimberly Wadsworth, Rift & Quartered grain will be a more stable floor than regular plain sawn grain. I love the ebony finish!!!
