OWN LONDON has completed a sensitive two-year renovation of a five-storey listed townhouse in London’s Knightsbridge, blending historic character with modern family living. The design preserves original features such as grand staircases, sash windows, and ornate mouldings, while introducing contemporary finishes like polished plaster, bold marble, and custom joinery. Two identical master suites on the first and second floors each have private terraces, bathrooms, and dressing areas, one clad in antique mirrors, the other in suede panelling. The third-floor children’s bedrooms feature matching trundle beds and bespoke carpets for comfort and style. The ground floor offers elegant living and dining spaces. The lower ground floor includes a relaxed family room with banquette seating, staff quarters, and a guest powder room detailed with reeded marble. This level opens to a private courtyard framed by brick arches and mirrored walls, creating a secluded oasis. OWN LONDON expertly marries heritage and contemporary design, crafting a timeless home for modern family life.

Le coaching concernait la pièce de vie, composée de l'entrée, d'une partie salle à manger et d'une partie salon. Après un 1er rendez-vous d'1h30 (qui correspond à la formule "RDV coaching déco" que vous pouvez réservez directement sur le site), au cours duquel la cliente m'a expliqué ses envies elle a reçu un compte-rendu illustré, reprenant la palette de couleurs choisies, et les solutions de décoration et d'aménagement. La cliente a souhaité compléter la formule conseils par des 3D afin de bien visualiser la future pièce, et ce sont les visuels que vous allez découvrir dans les prochains jours !

Vista del soggiorno attraverso la cucina passante

The St George house was a project with a fairly restricted budget which we needed to maximise to transform the space. Structural changes were kept to a minimum, moving one doorway and removing one wall. The property had been stripped of character and charm so the priority was to restore this to the Victorian home. Old chipboard flooring was removed and replaced with reclaimed timber flooring from a local reclamation yard. Reclaimed boards have a more interesting grain and richer colour which deepens over time. Not only were they aesthetically more pleasing, they are the environmentally friendly solution, particularly when using a local salvage yard. The vintage theme continued with the furniture sourcing - in the dining area a lovely big extendable Gplan dining table, Ercol's windsor quaker dining chairs and an old church pew. The livingroom was completed with an elegant collection of vintage finds and a large velvet sofa. Feature walls were created to balance the proportions of each room and mirrors radiate light around the space. (See our Instagram page for before & after photos of the St George project)

Victorian home, brief was to make this living room into a more modern, cool, but family friendly space, with scandi style and cosy textures.

Il s'agit d'un studio de 20m2 agencé et optimisé pour y vivre confortablement. L'espace salon se transforme en espace chambre pour la nuit. La zone repas est séparée du reste de la pièce par un claustra qui permet de manger et cuisiner tranquillement. Côté salle de bain, une douche à l'italienne, un meuble vasque et du rangement.
