Warm and light living room

Set in the heart of Dublin 4, The Wellington honours the heritage of the home and site. The design blends contemporary details within partial conservation architecture. The house is home to an old Dublin Coach House - which was protected by conservation architecture. Original sash windows and a stone wall built in a traditional method were elements included as part of this conservation process. introducing the coral paint finish to the sash window frames walks the tightrope of modernity and heritage. This coral colour is used throughout the house on all window frames and doors as well as the stone for the kitchen island and a double height wall in the extremely unique interior courtyard - bringing a sense of warmth to the home. A corten steel structural sculpture sits at the entrance to this house creating a grand entrance to this grand home. The door was another aspect of the conservation architecture that had to remain and was a dichotomy to the grandeur of the home and design. A monochromatic bathroom with a mirror obelisk that disappears almost as soon as you notice it makes for a surreal and unexpected element. Mirror finishes on all interior window pockets provide a sense of scale and generous proportions to the spaces. Specialist wall finishes, materiality and play on scale and depth make this a harmonious and luxurious home. This project received an Honorable Mention at the Architecture Masterprize 2024.

Creating a relaxing open plan living space in this penthouse design taking inspiration from its coastal surroundings. Rustic furniture and coastal soft furnishings give it a relaxing feel. I've layered my stylish grey corner sofa with lots of made to order scatter cushions in designer fabrics. I've added coastal accessories to the dining table with vases of seashell and a stunning silver plated lobster. I also created a feature wall with my own artwork which resembles the waves from this coastal location. High hanging voile curtains hep to emphasis the beautiful height of this room and draw your attention upwards. A beautiful designer rug helps zone the space and the comfortable reading chair creates a relaxed vibe. Plenty of greenery used throughout.

El salón se diseño como un espacio para usar. Eliminamos la zona de comedor, para tener multitud de espacio en el uso diario. El planteamiento así fue con colores suaves, luminosos y delicados con un punto elegante de piezas únicas. También eliminamos las puertas, dejando un paso de acceso mayor, y conectando con el pasillo para un concepto semiabierto que aportaba mayor amplitud.

This customer opted for the Lignum Fusion - Oak Robust Natural Herringbone 12mm AC4 Laminate in her expansive area. This flooring covered the hallway, kitchen area, laundry room and sitting room allowing for a seamless fluid look.

This client wanted a functional, sleek media unit with a ton of storage. This was created just for the client, they had two lovely little ornaments they wanted on display and so they were incorporated into the design. This was a design and build project.

En el salon, el principal motivo era darle un aire mas cálido y confortable. Complementarlo y diseñar un espacio de trabajo, obviando la zona de comedor que no se utilizaba. Así mismo, con una linea de color muy sutil, se incluyo un mural de pared que coordinaba con el sofá existente y que le aportaba un aire delicado y elegante.

A crear un espacio más funcional, cómodo y relajado, con un toque sofisticado. De estilo nórdico contemporáneo.
